SHORT BIOGRAPHY
After beginning his music studies in Guadalajara, he began studying cello with Dª María de Macedo. Later he continued his studies in the instrument under the direction of D. Michal Dmochowski in the C. S. Katarina Gurska of Madrid until the present course where he enters in the RCSMM of Madrid with D. Ángel García Jermann, in cello and D. Graham Jackson in Chamber Music. Until today he has obtained the following prizes:
-3rd Prize in the III Paderewsky Competition, (2024).
- 2nd Prize at the Gustav Mahler Prize International Cello Competition (2023).
-1st Absolute Prize at the Fanny Mendelshonn International Cello Competition (2023).
-2nd Prize at the I Slava International Cello Competition (2023).
- 1st Prize at the X Cidade de Vigo International String Competition (2021).
- 1st Prize at the X National Competition for promising young cello players Jaime Dobato Benavente (2019).
-1st Prize of strings modality in the Competition for young performers Ciudad de Almendralejo (2019).
He has received Masterclasses from Thomas Grossenbacher, Pieter Wiespelwey, Marc Coppey, Batriz Blanco, Fernando Arias, Alban Gerhardt, Thomas Lisiecki, Michal Dmochowski and María de Macedo. He has given solo recitals in the 46th edition of the Segovia Music Festival (MUSEG), the 10th edition of the Youth Festival of the Iberian Music Festival of Badajoz, in the National Auditorium of Madrid and more recently has performed in duo with the prestigious guitarist Joaquín Clerch, within the International Music Course of the International Theatre Festival of Mérida (2024).
