SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Emma started playing cello at the age of 6 in Viimsi Music School under the tutelage of Ann Kuut. At the age of 11, Emma started studying in Tallinn Music High School in Ardo Västrik’s cello class. After 4 years she continued studying in Mart Laas’ cello class in Tallinn College of Music and Ballet. Emma has attended numerous masterclasses, including participating in the Järvi Academy masterclass with Juilliard professor Wayne Foster-Smith. Additionally, she has taken part in the Saulius Sondeckis International Competition, where she received a diploma. For three consecutive years (2021, 2023, 2024), she has caught the jury’s attention at the Estonian Young String Players’ Competition-Festival in Tartu, earning the title of laureate. Furthermore, since third grade, Emma has consistently placed in the top three at the Estonian Young String Players’ Competition. Emma has also performed as a soloist with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
